The “Mighty Duffus”, a 4 person Wenonah Minnesota IV

The “Mighty Duffus” is a 23 foot Wenonah Minnesota IV canoe that was used in setting the Guinness World Record for fastest paddle down the Mississippi in 2023. The canoe is named after Scott Duffus, one of the paddlers on the Missouri River Speed Record team, to honor him for the hundreds of hours of work he put into the canoe to customize it for 24/7 paddling on the mighty Mississippi. The canoe had a customized, vaulted cover under which the paddlers could sleep, a bow hard deck to shed waves, an electrical system that powered the GPS, bilge pumps, safety lights, headlights and much more. Scott has many plans on how to make it even better for the trip down the Missouri.
